Thủ đô Mogadishu của nước Somalia, đã giết chết ít nhất 276 người
và làm bị thương trên 300 người khác.
Số tử thương trong vụ tấn công chiều Thứ Bảy do hai xe chứa chất nổ
quân sự và chất nổ tự chế giết 276 người, làm bị thương hơn 300
người khác; nhưng số người chết chắc sẽ còn lên cao vì nhiều tử thi
tiếp tục được đào lên từ các đống đổ nát trải rộng hằng nhiều trăm
mét ở trung tâm thành phố.
Những người cấp cứu tại chỗ nói rằng rất khó để ước lượng số người
chết lúc nầy vì sức nóng do chất nổ làm cho thi thể nhiều người bị
tiêu tan không thể tìm thấy được.
Tổng thống Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed của Somalia lên án tổ
chức khủng bố Al-Shabaab đã chủ trương giết những người dân vô tội
vì trước đó Al-Shabaab đã tuyên bố thề tăng cường các vụ tấn công
sau khi chính quyền Trump và Tổng thống mới đắc cử của Somalia công
bố có hành động quân sự mới chống lại tổ chức khủng bố nầy.

On Saturday, Oct. 14th, 2017, two trucks bombing as twins attack
the busiest marketplace in Mogadishu capital of Somalia, killed at
least 276 and injured more than 300 others.
The death toll from Saturday’s attack, which involved two trucks
packed with several hundred kilograms of military-grade and
homemade explosives, killed at least 276 and at least 300 injured;
but is expected to rise as more bodies are dug from the rubble
spread over an area hundreds of meters wide in the center of the
city.
Rescue workers on the ground said it would be difficult to
establish a definitive death toll because the intense heat
generated by the blast meant the remains of many people would never
be found.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed of Somalia blames al-Shabaab targeted
innocent civilians. Al-Shabab earlier this year vowed to increase attacks after both
the Trump administration and Somalia’s recently elected president
announced new military efforts against this terrorist group.
